For Sale: Custo Dress

Although I adore this dress I’ll be selling it on eBay in the next few days so have a butchers if you’re interested.

It’s hardly been worn and is in very good condition.
This long bell-sleeved, low cut dress features dark green velvet with two different patterned silks and screams a retro 60’s vibe that would be great if you were going to a themed event…or just for everyday wear of course!
It was made in Spain and the Custo brand is still going today.

The measurements when laid flat are as follows-

Length: shoulder to hem= 34"
Length: underarm to hem= 25.5"
Width: underarm to underarm= 17”
To give you an idea of how the dress fits I would say I’m a size 8-10 in most clothes but as I’m a gymnast I have fairly broad muscular shoulders and the top half of this dress does fit snugly. As the material is silk it doesn’t have a lot of give so I would say it is more suited to a slighter girl on top with a small bust. From the images you can see it is very low cut but you could wear a small lace trim top underneath if desired.
I’m 5ft 5.5in and I feel that this dress would look stunning on someone a little taller than me or someone with slightly longer legs…but this is just a personal preference.
If you have an questions or queries, drop me an email at…

I'll let you know when I pop it on eBay.

A hard-earned reward…

well kinda. That’s the beauty of university, it is in fact only two and a half weeks of work, admittedly those two and a half weeks are the worst of your life and afterwards you are left emotionally and physically exhausted unable to remember any of the topics or titles of the essays you have just handed in BUT the rest of the time its just like being retired except you can get away with more debauched behavior blaming youthful inexperience, and you have less money.
Still I think I deserve a treat, a proper treat, something I can see and touch. The obvious answer is shoes.
I love shoes. So much. But the problem is I’m too mean, I have an irritatingly strong willpower which means I will not buy myself nice shoes…noyin’. This, of course, will all change tonight when I win the Euro Millions (166 million squids bitches!) Then I’ll have a whole room dedicated to shoes.
I digress…trawling through the internet I have found lots of lovely shoes that I would love to call mine but I just cannot decide whether to go for a staple nude pair that’ll make my legs look about 20ft longer (that would be helpful) or to go for a statement pair that go with less outfits but ones that everyone’s envious of…decisions.

I will, of course, regret buying these shoes when I have no money in the very near future but then who needs food when you have a gorgeous pair of shoes on your tootsies?

Oh and listen to this it’ll make you shuffle incessantly. I was lucky enough to catch Tangled Hair at The Hope in Brighton. They’re an amusing bunch of lads but I wish they’d played more songs…4 tracks isn’t really a set is it boys? Looking forward to loads more from them though.

Peace and serenity,
Gracie

Bloody love you Brighton...

Brighton Beach: The perfect cure for any hangover...

So, going back a few weeks now, there I stood in my very large and very bare uni halls kitchen staring out the window stuck in a reverie that even I wasn’t a part of.  It was raining stair rods and the clouds were as black as the ace of spades, but still the view ahead appeared beautiful to me. Standing there with a comforting cup of tea cupped in my hands I realized something that I should of known all along but perhaps had to get to this moment to fully understand.  This year in Brighton had meant a hell of a lot more than I had credited with. I’d met some amazing new people and discovered some wicked places, all of which providing me with memories that I’ll keep locked in my mind for reminiscing on other rainy days (Lord knows we have a lot of them). I’d created a new me in this first year. Perhaps not ‘created’ or even ‘new’ because I think this person has always been there just shadowed by other things and it took a multitude of experiences to catalyse the me that’s sitting in front of the computer this very second.
Now I’m not normally one for all this self-discovery rhubarb and any way I write it, it sounds like a massive pathetic cliché which is annoying because it comes across as rather insincere. All I know is that at the moment I’m happy. Jam hot happy.
All this meant I was sketching a little about coming back to my hometown. The girl that left here is certainly not the girl that returned. I did wonder whether I could still ‘do’ the Farnham life or whether I’d just sit at home counting down the days till I can go back to my beloved Brighton. Thankfully it’s been ok, more than ok- pretty darn good actually! The Surrey drink prices were a bit of a shock to the system as well as the lack of buses and late night events but on the whole I’ve had a awesome first couple of weeks back and I plan to just party on through any burgeoning boredom.
Turns out I can still do the Farnham way of life, just with a little more Brighton flair added.

Also I just found out I passed my first year so I’m gonna buy me some nice shoes… question is: which ones?

Peace and Love,
Gracie
